GAYLORD, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman was arrested after police say she may have secreted suspected meth from a body cavity.

Michigan State Police troopers stopped a vehicle for a registration plate violation and obstructed view of the windshield on July 14 on M-32 in Gaylord.

Troopers identified the driver as a 34-year-old Boyne City man who was wanted on an active warrant out of Antrim County. The passenger was identified as 27-year-old Rachell Cook of Jackson. Troopers found evidence that Cook may be in possession of meth and may have secreted the drug in a body cavity.

She was transported to the Otsego Memorial Hospital where medical professionals removed suspected meth from the body cavity. The substance was seized, and she was lodged in the Otsego County Jail.

Cook was charged with one count of Possession of Meth.
