(WXYZ) — Michigan's first Jimmy Choo store will hold a grand opening Tuesday at the Somerset Collection in Troy.
Jimmy Choo is known for stilettos, heeled shoes, wedges and loafers in addition to handbags and accessories.
The store is located on the mall's south side near Saks.
As part of the grand opening, a portion of the day's sales will be donated to The Children's Center. TCC provides comprehensive evidence-based therapies for vulnerable children in metro Detroit.
Twenty percent of Tuesday's sales will go to TCC, with Somerset Collection matching the proceeds up to $25,000. Champagne and light hors d'oeuvres will be served during a grand opening reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Children's Center should be mentioned at checkout to ensure the donation is applied.
