A victim in Milford takes a licking literally! Police are investigating an assault that took place at a home.
We're told the weapon used in the attack was a tongue.
The assault took place at a home on the 1100 block of Garden Road two weeks ago.
"Very silly, very silly reason to have a confrontation," Milford Police Chief Thomas Lindenberg said. "The homeowner's boyfriend had come over there and the homeowner's son had come over there and they had a verbal confrontation at first over wood chips being stored on the property."
The 27-year-old victim and 56-year-old assailant got into a confrontation.
That's when police say the mom's boyfriend licked the victim.
"Licked him from his chin to his nose," Chief Lindenberg explained. "I don't think the son cares for mom's boyfriend and vice verse. They've had conflicts in the past."
Although it is a bizarre story, police are taking it very seriously.
The older man could face simple assault and battery charges.
"It is an actual crime," he added. "I don't really understand the family dynamics in that house but I'm going to guess it will be an unusual holiday. Memorial Day picnic may not be comfortable over there
The victim wants to press charges.
