Missing metro Detroit teen girl suffers from depression, bi-polar disorder

Dearborn Heights police are asking for your help locating a missing teen girl who suffers from mental health issues.

According to police, 16-year-old Chela Johnson has been missing since 3 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20.

She suffers from depression and bi-polar disorder and has not taken her medication in over a week. She has tried to harm herself in the past.

She is described as a black female, 5-feet-7, 250 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a white dress shirt with gray print and light blue jeans.

Police say Chela was trying to get to areas of Oak Park or east side of Detroit.
