SAY Detroit and founder Mitch Albom are hosting their annual radiothon this week. It's happening Thursday, Dec. 10 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on AM760 WJR and live-streaming on the website.

“Due to Covid-19 and the recession, non-profits in Metro Detroit are really struggling” Albom said in a release. “The need is also as big as ever and I know we live in one of the most generous communities in the country and there are a lot of big-hearted folks out there who will do their part whether it’s $5 or $500. It’s all appreciated.”
Those celebrities zooming in include actors Kate Hudson, Tim Allen, Hugh Jackman and J.K. Simmons, as well as TV personalities Jane Pauley, Anderson Cooper and Hoda Kotb.
Auction items include autographed Detroit Lions jerseys, A Lily Tomlin autographed script from "Grace and Frankie," a signed Tim Allen "Toy Story" toy and more.
