Mitch Albom will kick off the S.A.Y Detroit Radiothon this morning.
The annual fundraiser benefits local charities.
The radiothon runs from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Earlier this week, Albom stopped at Broadcast House to talk about the many ways the radiothon helps those in need.
The event will be hosted by WJR's Albom and Ken Brown live from the Somerset Collection in Troy.
Some of this year's guests include Tim Allen, Hugh Jackman and Dan Gilbert.
More than one million dollars was raised last year.
