The Model T is turning 107 years old on Sept. 27 and the Piquette Ave. Plant in Detroit is celebrating with a birthday party.
The Model T was built at the plant starting in 1908. The car helped launch the car culture in the U.S.
"You can actually fell it in this place. You know that this is the place that really changed the world, in terms of the way automobiles were made and produced," says Steve Shotwell, Piquette Ave. Plant Vice president.
The birthday party is Sept. 27 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 461 Piquette Ave. in Detroit. All entertainment outside is free, but there is an admission charge to go inside the museum.
