The weekend is here and I am happy to say it'll be significantly warmer than last weekend's historic cold. We're expecting high temps closer to May averages both Saturday and Sunday but rain is in the forecast as well.

You can see from the weekend summary above, that Saturday is the day to enjoy this weekend. Aside from the patchy fog and cloudy start to in the morning, it should be the "Pick of the Weekend" with some afternoon clearing.

Heavy Rain & Storms

Sunday has a different scenario all together with rain and storms back in the forecast. Just a heads up that rain could get pretty heavy in spots leading to rainfall as high as 2" in the hardest hit locations - putting us at risk for flash flooding.

The flooding risk is due to our recently heavy rain and the potential for more storms moving this saturated ground. These storms could be heavy and some could even be strong to severe bringing the threat of damaging winds and some hail. The severity of these impacts will be highly dependent on the positioning of this storm. At the moment, it looks like the worst of this storm will remain south of Metro Detroit but it's worth watching this weekend.
