It’s a dream come true for aspiring ballerinas across Metro Detroit: a chance to dance with the Moscow Ballet in the Great Russian Nutcracker.
In October, about 200 local student dancers auditioned for the chance to perform at the Fox Theatre. On Dec. 23, those dreams will become a reality as the Moscow Ballet takes the stage with their “Dove of Peace Tour.”
Dancers ages 6-17 years old will dance the parts of party guests, mice, snow maidens, snow sprites and others.
There are three performances on December 23, 2018: Noon, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Mark McCleese and Rachel Deratany from MDM Dance Project in Shelby Township helped train the young dancers who will appear in the 4 pm performance.
