The U.S. Marshals are asking for your help finding a man they call a menace to our community.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Garcia says wherever Jamar Walker is, trouble seems to follow. He’s convinced the community will be a whole lot safer once they get Walker off the street.
“Jamar walker has been charged with carjacking, armed robbery, robbery, vehicle theft and now the shooting and attempted murder,” Garcia said.
It happened on Detroit’s east side last December when a fight broke out at the Texas Bar.
“Walker turns around and pulls out a gun and shoots the guy two to three times in the stomach,” Garcia said.
The victim survived but 27-year-old Walker took off. His extensive criminal history has landed him on the Detroit One list a top priority for the U.S. Marshals.
“These targets are the guys causing the problems around the city- constant habitual offenders who are always coming up in these crimes throughout the City of Detroit,” he said.
Garcia believes Walker is getting help staying off the radar.
“We don’t believe anybody associated with him is going to help us find this guy from his associates to relatives or family,” Garcia said. “Which is why we’re turning to the viewers for help to help find this guy and get him off the street and to get him in court.
Jamar Walker is 5’4” and 140 pounds from the east side of Detroit and considered armed and dangerous.
“Walker is definitely in the City of Detroit, he’s around this area, he’s around town,” Garcia said.
As always the Marshals are offering a reward for information on Walker. You can call them anytime and remain anonymous at (313) 234-5656.
