We are back on the hunt for one of Detroit’s Most Wanted.

Police say a recent college grad was killed while sitting in his car on Detroit’s east side.

It happened earlier this week and now we’re learning more from homicide detectives about what happened.

Police say they’re doing all they can to find the gunman who took the life of a young father, a college graduate and overall good person. But, they still need your help.

Sherod Evans was shot to death while sitting inside of his car. It was parked on the 17600 block of Fleming on Detroit’s east side - outside of his family's home.

It happened just before 2:00 a.m. Tuesday. oved ones and neighbors called 911.

Police say they believe Sherod was targeted, but the motive is still unknown.

Now, a mother is forced to bury her son – a father of two, who had just graduated from Wayne County Community College District and was a week away from walking in the ceremony.

Sherod’s family says he will be buried a week from today. They have set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral arrangements.

If you have any information about his death, you’re urged to call the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Tip line at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stopper at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
