Another one of Detroit’s Most Wanted is off the streets.
Police say Devan Williams was involved in the murder of popular musician Anthony Tolson on Christmas Eve.
The Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit has been working hard to close this case, and today they did just that.
Police say Williams was the last person they were looking for in the shooting death of Tolson. It happened at a party store parking lot on Detroit’s east side, on Christmas Eve.
Chilling surveillance video that investigators released shows two suspects getting out of a car, running up to Tolson's car pointing guns and shooting – eventually killing the father and popular musician, before taking off in his car.
We aired a Detroit’s Most Wanted segment about the murder in early January, and a week later the gunmen were caught.
But, Williams was still on the run.
Today, there was some relief from Tolson’s family – knowing all three suspects are in custody.
I talked with Anthony Tolson’s sister this afternoon.
She broke down in tears, saying while nothing can ever bring back her brother, her family is doing a little better, now knowing that all three-men are behind bars.
