A motion hearing was held today for the stepfather of murdered EMU student Julia Niswender.
He's facing child pornography charges after investigators searched his computer in connection with their investigation into Julia's murder.
Turnquist has also been named a person of interest in that case.
Julia Niswender was found strangled and drowned in a bathtub inside her off campus apartment in December of 2012. The EMU student was just shy of her 24th birthday.
Turnquist has passed two lie detector tests. There is no obvious physical evidence linking him to the crime scene. His immediate family has stuck by him--calling into question the focus on him as a suspect.
