Motorcyclist seriously injured in Shelby Twp crash, alcohol believed to be factor

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after an accident Saturday on Ryan Road in Shelby Township.

Police say a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 52-year-old man from Shelby Township, was driving southbound on Ryan Road when it collided with a gray 2018 Jeep Cherokee, which was also traveling southbound

The driver of the Jeep, a 66-year-old Shelby Township woman, complained of minor injuries. 

The motorcyclist was transported to Troy Beaumont Hospital for life-threatening injuries. 

Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor and the investigation is continuing.
