DETROIT (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police are investigating a possible freeway shooting on the Lodge early Sunday morning.

Around 4:55 a.m. Sunday, Metro South troopers responded to a alleged freeway shooting. The shooting reportedly happened on southbound Lodge between Davison and Hamilton, according to MSP.

The two victims drove to Henry Ford Hospital, where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This morning, troopers shut down southbound Lodge at Elmhurst to look for the scene and collect evidence. The freeway has since reopened.

A motive behind the shooting is unknown at this time, troopers say.

The investigation is ongoing.
