WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — A grandfather and grandson faced minor injuries after an MSP trooper saved the pair from a burning vehicle Tuesday morning.
According to MSP, a Brighton Post trooper on patrol comes across a traffic crash on Ann Arbor Rd over I-275 in Wayne County, where a 56-year-old man was trapped and the vehicle was on fire.
Trooper Drewyor pulled the man from vehicle before the car became fully engulfed.
The man from Plymouth was listed in stable condition at a local hospital. The man was with his grandson, a 5-year-old boy who received minor injuries.
The cause of the crash was due to traveling too fast for conditions on icy roads, MSP says.
