KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Traverse Narcotics Teams in partnership with several law enforcement units served a narcotics related search warrant to a home in Coldsprings Township Friday evening.
More than 15 Michigan State Police personnel and half a dozen deputies surrounded the home, due to the threat of drug activity at the home and possible presence of multiple suspects and weapons inside.
The search resulted in the seizure of suspected crystal meth from both the home and a vehicle. Two people were arrested "on outstanding felony warrants related to conspiracy to deliver/manufacture methamphetamine and controlled substance-delivery/manufacture methamphetamine," police say.
Officials say it was the third time in less than a year that law enforcement conducted a drug-related search warrant at the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
