Tyler Perry, best known for his roles in the Madea movies, went on social media Tuesday night to warn the public about a scam circulating online that claims he is giving away items and money online.
Perry said the fake social media account was created using his name, telling fans he is giving away money.
Perry said his team has to shut down scams like this on a daily basis. He urged the public to not give away any personal information to anyone claiming they are giving away money on his behalf.
