Krispy Kreme is offering a not-so-secret treasure today, September 19, to anyone willing to show off their inner pirate.
The national doughnut store chain will celebrate "National Talk Like a Pirate Day" with two special deals.
All you have to earn a free doughnut is talk like a pirate at participating Krispy Kreme locationsacross the United States.
If you want to dig up an even better treasure of a free dozen doughnuts, then put on your best pirate gear and follow your map to the closest Krispy Kreme participating store. But, beware! You must wear at least three qualifying items that can include any item from this official list:
- Eye Patch
- Pirate Hat
- Pirate Flag
- Bandana
- Peg Leg
- Parrot on Shoulder
- Pirate Shirt / Loose white shirt
- Knickers
- Leather belt
- Silver and gold necklaces and earrings
- Pirate Hook
- Pointy black boots or ragged brown sandals
- NO WEAPONS ALLOWED
To SnapChat-loving pirates, you can also use a custom Krispy Kreme Snapchat pirate filter to "dress up". Any customer who shows their Snapchat pirate filter at a participating shop will also qualify for a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts.
