Story from Thursday:

The mother of reality star Honey Boo Boo is reportedly dating a sex offender – a revelation that could end the popular reality show.

TMZ reports that June Shannon, better known as “Mama June,” is dating a man named Mark A. McDaniel, who served 10 years in prison for child molestation. Shannon is a main character on the popular TLC show, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

McDaniel, 53 of Decatur, Georgia was convicted of aggravated child molestation in May of 2004, according to the Georgia sex offender registry. He was released in March and is now a registered sex offender in Georgia.

Shannon’s daughter, and the show’s title character, is nine years old. TLC is now evaluating the future of the show, TMZ reports, which has been declining the ratings.
