An app just rolled out a new feature that could make it a whole lot easier to stick to your diet -- or at least make the process a little more fun.
Snap It is a new function of Lose It, a food tracking app.
Snap It has a different type of focus, one that appeals to our inner photographer. The app's feature lets you track food just by snapping a photo, hence the name.
While in the Lose It app, users simply pick a meal, take a picture of their food and then choose from one of the populated suggestions. They then pick the portion size and the app catalogs their food for the day.
I tested it out with an apple last night - and the correct suggestion popped up quickly. But, it also gave me cake as an option. Maybe it's telling me I should really just have a piece of cake.
Now, just a heads-up: this feature is currently in its beta stage. I tried the feature again this morning, and it was a bit slower populating suggestions. The company notes on its Facebook page, the more people log -- the faster the feature will get.
It's free on iOS and Android, if you want to give it a whirl.
