New high-rise residential building in Detroit's Greektown to begin construction in October

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A $64.6 million 16-story residential high-rise building in Detroit's Greektown neighborhood will begin construction in October.

The building, called the exchange, planned for Gratiot Avenue and Brush Street, will have 165 residential units. Twelve units on the top floors will be condos for sale and the rest will be apartments.

Construction is planned to wrap up in January 2022.

Apartments will range from studios to two-bedroom units.

Overall, there will be 78 studios, 50 one-bedrooms and 25 two-bedroom apartments.

There will also be four one-bedroom condos, six two-bedroom units and two three-bedroom units.
