(WXYZ) — The owners of Detroit Pedal Pub and Detroit Cycle Boat are bringing a new endeavor to metro Detroit just in time for the spring and summer, tiki bar boats.

Nick Blaszcyk, who launched Detroit Pedal Pub years ago and Detroit Cycle Boat in 2017, says Aloha Tiki Tours will launch May 25 in both Detroit and St. Clair Shores. Two of the boats will launch from Sinbad's Marina in Detroit and the other two out of Bossom Heath Park and Pier in St. Clair Shores.

The tours will run in two-hour increments from May 25 - Sept. 30 and the only time they won't operate is on Mother's Day.

Boats can hold up to six people, and it is a private charter for hire, meaning those who book the boat can bring beer, wine, liquor and food. The boats aren't meant to go fast, and it's more of a lounge and laid-back type of tour.

All of the captains are U.S. Coast Guard certified and life jackets are provided for all, and everyone on board must sign a waiver.

Prices start at $250 for the tours on weekdays and $300 on weekends. For more information, visit alohatikitours.com or visit their Facebook page.
