(WXYZ) — Northbound I-275 is now open at Ford Road in Plymouth after a deadly crash.
The freeway was shut down for hours Monday morning.
Michigan State Police says troopers were dispatched to the crash near Ann Arbor Road at approximately 2 a.m.
Police say a tractor trailer was parked with its hazard lights activated on the right shoulder of the freeway. A passenger car driven by a 37-year-old man from Milford drove off the roadway and struck the rear of the trailer, police say.
The 37-year-old driver was killed instantly, police say.
