The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help locating a missing woman with dementia.
According to a release, 79-year-old Chia Vang, of Pontiac, was reported missing by her son. He last saw her in her bedroom around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home where they live together in the 60 block of Chippewa Road.
When he last checked on his mother at noon Wednesday, she was not home.
The son told police that his mother has attempted to walk to Warren on her own before. He thought his mother would have made it back home by now.
Police say the woman speaks limited English and her native language Hmong.
She's 4 feet, 10 inches tall. She weighs 130 pounds and has black hair, brown eyes and was seen wearing a black dress.
