ROCHESTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — Oakland University is the latest Michigan university to announce its closure ahead of the extreme weather approaching this week.
The campus will close at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 and remain closed Thursday due to the frigid temperatures. The Kresge Library -- usually open 24 hours -- will also be closed during the same period.
Officials say evening courses and campus activities scheduled for Tuesday will still take place. Vandenburg and Hillcrest cafeterias will remain open while the rest of the University is closed.
Operations are expected to resume at noon on Thursday.
