DETROIT (WXYZ) — An off-duty Detroit police officer was arrested for allegedly operating while intoxicated.
Police say around 4:50 a.m. Friday, the officer was traveling in his personal vehicle in the 18700 block of Fitzpatrick when he allegedly lost control and hit a building.
The officer was taken into custody at the scene for allegedly operating while intoxicating, police say.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and an internal investigation has been launched.
