Officials provide update on survivors of Imlay City mobile home fire that killed 4 kids

IMLAY CITY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Imlay City officials have provided an update on the family members who survived a mobile home fire last month that killed four children and left four other family members hurt.

According to police, 19-month-old Keyshawn Kelley was taken off life support and is breathing on his own. He still has a long road ahead and the total extent of his injuries is still not known.

Keith Kelly is still listed in critical but stable condition and Krystal Whitney is in stable condition.

Right now, police say they have no additional information on the cause of the fire, but are asking people to keep the family in their thoughts.

The fire broke out in the mobile home on Feb. 26 and killed a 3-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy. The next day, a 1-month-old baby died in due to the fire.

Officials did syay that the furnace in the home wasn't working properly.
