(WXYZ) — African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton, Ohio, is officially closing for the 2020 season, with plans to reopen in February 2021.

The current season will end on Dec. 6, and the park will reopen Feb. 26, 2021. The walk-thru safari, which closed on Oct. 4, will reopen in early May of 2021.

"We've had an unprecedented and WILD year," said the Park's Director, Kelsey Keller. "Despite these uncertain times, we certainly had a good Season. As a safe, outdoor, and family-friendly Safari Park, we saw hundreds of new, masked, faces come through this Season. We were able to accomplish a lot this year, including several new exhibits, a reservation system, and our private Giraffe Encounter experience! We hope to see everyone back again in the 2021 Season!"
