MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police have confirmed a fatal accident on westbound I-94 in St. Clair Shores Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened on westbound I-94 at 10 Mile Road, which has since reopened. MSP says one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 1:30 p.m., troopers responded to the report of a rolled over semi. Police say traffic began to slow down and the semi truck driver could not stop in time, rear-ending a Ford Taurus. The semi then rolled over and landed on a Chrysler and a Cadillac SUV. The female driver in the Ford was killed instantly, troopers say.
The semi driver and the other two drivers suffered minor injuries.
Now police say a fourth driver was hit during the crash but officers are not sure when. That driver was also taken to the local hospital with minor injuries.
MSP has released this list of injuries and identifiers of those involved in the crash:
- 2006 Peterbuilt, 31-year-old Detroit male sustained minor injury

- 2002 Chrysler, 19-year-old Macomb female sustained minor injury
