1 dead in double shooting on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — One person died in a double shooting on Detroit's east side overnight.

On May 27 around 2 a.m., two suspects allegedly pulled up in a newer model silver Chevy Malibu in the area of Keystone and Hiddie. Police say the suspects got out of the vehicle and allegedly began firing shots, striking two male victims – ages 32 and 40.

The 32 year-old was pronounced decease at the scene, the second victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is pending, according to police.

Police say prior to the shooting the suspects were at the location allegedly playing dice.

The suspects were described as being between 25-30 years of age.

One was about 6-feet 2-inches, short hair, light complexion, armed with a handgun. The second suspect was approximately 5-feet 6-inches, afro, beard, dark complexion, wearing white t-shirt and basketball shorts.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated, according to police.
