Today is the final day former patients of Dr. Farid Fata can file a claim against the doctor for restitution.
Fata was sentenced to 45 years in federal prison, but before he was sentenced, feds seized more than $11.9 million in assets.
The money is now being used as part of a restitution fund to benefit Fata's victims and their heirs.
U.S. District Judge Paul Borman extended the deadline to today and all claim forms must be postmarked with today's date to be considered.
Anyone who was a patient of Fata between 2005 and 2013 who paid out of pocket for things like co-pays and deductibles is eligible to file a claim.
