(WXYZ) — Perdue Foods has recalled more than 16,000 pounds of its ready-to-eat chicken nugget products Tuesday due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Safety and Inspection Service.
The "Fun Shape Chicken Breast Nuggets" contain milk, an allergen that is not declared on the product label.
Items were shipped to retailers in Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
Twelve-ounce packages were produced on Jan. 10, 2019. If you have the item in your fridge, discard it immediately, officials say.
Consumers with questions about the recall can call the Perdue Consumer Care at (866) 866-3703.
