Pete Buttigieg traveling to Michigan to campaign for Joe Biden

(WXYZ) — Former Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttgieg will be in Michigan on Oct. 19 to campaign for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

On Monday, Buttigieg will travel to Grand Rapids, Stockbridge, and Kalamazoo.

In Grand Rapids, Buttigieg, Chasten Buttigieg, and Congressional candidate in MI-03 Hillary Scholten will participate in a canvass launch to encourage Michiganders to vote early. This event is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.

In Stockbridge at 3:10 p.m., Buttigieg will tour a farm and hold a panel discussion with farmers about the challenges Michigan farmers are facing and how a Biden-Harris administration would help.

At 5:40 p.m., Buttigieg will participate in a Vote Now mobilization event in Kalamazoo to urge Michiganders to vote early at their local clerk’s office or satellite voting location.

Those interested in attending the events will be required to adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions, including wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
