The Pig and Whiskey festival will take over downtown Ferndale this weekend for its eighth straight year.
The event is between 9 Mile and East Troy Street and runs through Sunday, July 16.
Hours on Saturday are from 11 a.m. until midnight, and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Admission is free, but tickets will need to be purchased in order to sample food and whiskey.
In addition to booze and barbeque, there will also be live bands and musicians, as well as a giant Ferris Wheel.

SLOWS BBQ COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE BBQ SAUCE:
Coffee- 1 cup
Dark Chocolate- 1/4 lb (broken pieces)
Ketchup- 3 cups
Brown Sugar- 1 cup
Lemon Juice- 1/2 cup
Apple Cider Vinegar- 1/2 cup
Worcestershire Sauce- 1/4 cup
Molasses- 1/2 cup
Black Pepper- 1 teaspoon
Kosher Salt- 1 teaspoon
Paprika- 2 teaspoons
Ginger- 1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon- 1/2 teaspoon
Chili Powder- 1/4 cup
Heat the coffee up in a small pot then start melting in the chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted add all of the other ingredients and bring to a simmer for around 5 minutes.
