DETROIT (WXYZ) — Plans for an Alamo Drafthouse theater in Midtown Detroit have fallen through.
Johathan Hartzell with Detroit Rising Development say parking was the issue. He says the theater needed 300 parking spaces for a 15-year period that would coincide with their lease. However, Hartzell says the spaces weren't available.
Plans for the Alamo Drafthouse were announced in June 2018.
It would have be located west of Woodward and south of Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The chain, based in Austin, Texas, is known for serving craft beer and food right at your seat.
