Sony made a big announcement Tuesday regarding a much anticipated PlayStation add-on.
The company's virtual reality system now has a release date and a price.
Sony first revealed the workings of the PlayStation VR at the Game Developers Conference in 2014. Since then, the company says they’ve had great response from gamers and developers.
The PS VR is now set to be released in October of this year. The price tag: $399.
The headset works with PlayStation 4—which could entice the game console owners to splurge on the addition.
More than 160 games are currently in the works for the VR headset—with 50 of them expected to be released by the end of this year, according to the company.
