EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 26-year-old Hamtramck man has died following a quadruple stabbing early Saturday morning, according to Eastpointe Police.
Around 12:40 a.m., police responded to Rein north of Toepfer for an incident where four people were stabbed. A preliminary investigation indicted the victims and suspect knew one another.
Police say the suspect has been identified and is in custody.
The 26-year-old victim passed away from his injuries at a local hospital. The other three victims are being treated for their injuries at area hospitals, police say.
Eastpointe detectives say they are working with the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office to determine the appropriate charges.
