CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Chesterfield Township police department said two 13-year-old girls are believed to be responsible for threats to two schools this week.

According to police, juvenile petitions are being completed to charge the two Middle School East students, both in 8th grade and living in Chesterfield Township.

Police say the girls are responsible for a bomb threat at Roseville Middle School on Wednesday and a bomb threat at L'Anse Creuse Middle School east.

According to police, both were serving a school suspension and they tried to hide their identities using a phone spoof app but police were able to defeat the app and get confessions.
