BEAVERTON TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) — Deputies arrested four suspects, ages 19 and 20, in Beaverton Township for allegedly riding a horse and buggy while intoxicated on Dec. 29, according to officials.
The incident happened just before 4 p.m. after Gladwin County Sheriff's deputies received a complaint from a driver about four men who were riding in a horse-drawn buggy near Beaverton Road and throwing beer cans onto the roadway.
The suspects were arrested for obstruction of justice, disorderly person and issued civil infractions for minors in possession of alcohol.
Deputies say the four wouldn't at first provide their correct identities, and instead gave false information about their ages and wouldn't reveal their names. They four were later identified as Levei J. Mast, 20; Andrew B. Zook, 19; Joseph S. Miller, 20; and Joseph J. Troyer, 19, all of Gladwin County.
They were all taken to Gladwin County Jail and given a $3,500 bond with 10 percent.
