Michigan State Police bust meth lab in metro Detroit home

Westland Police bust a meth lab on a street where many families with young children live. 

Officers rushed to Decatur Street, near Wayne Road, after receiving reports of a meth lab in a vacant garage. 

One man who lives on the street said he's grateful he and his family were not hurt. 

Police tell 7 Action News they arrested a man who was leaving the garage as they arrived on scene. 

Neighbors say the people behind the meth lab managed to avoid getting caught for a few weeks. 

Investigators have obtained evidence, some of which is highly flammable. They are looking into the incident.
