Detroit Police are investigating a shooting involving a repo man and car owner in a driveway on the city's west side.

Police say a 30-year-old repo man was attempting to repossess a 53-year-old man's vehicle around 9 a.m. on the 19900 block of Stahelin.

The repo man was behind the vehicle when the car owner allegedly approached him with a knife and tried to harm him.

The 30-year-old then shot the car owner in his chest. Police say the suspect was a CPL holder and is cooperating with officers.
