GREEN OAK (WXYZ) — A Fenton man is warning drivers to be on the lookout after a frightening experience on US-23 on Tuesday.
Derrick Bagwell, a father of three, was traveling northbound on the highway near the Lee exit in Green Oak when a rock struck his windshield.
"I was in complete and utter shock," Bagwell said. "You can put your finger through the windshield."
The rock flew off his four-door sedan as glass shattered into his face while he was going about 65 miles per hour. He was wearing glasses that blocked his eyes. He drove to the road commission location on the side of the highway and called 911.

The suspects are two 12-years-old girls who apparently live in the area. Authorities notified their parents and are recommending juvenile charges. This isn't the first incident of the year near Livingston County.
Last week, a 41-year-old Brighton man was arrested after allegedly throwing sandbags off of an overpass in Lyon Township. The woman hit by the flying sandbag is now recovering from the traumatic event.
"All of my skin feels like it was sandblasted because it was," said Cynthia Eckley. "I was driving 73 miles per hour."
Eckley and her family say it's a miracle she's alive. And she said she saw the man who threw the 40-pound sandbag, then pulled over and called 911. Bagwell was also able to pull over, call 911, and head back to where he saw two girls running.
"The state trooper caught them just a couple minutes later," Bagwell said.
Green Oak Township police confirm the report and investigators identified two girls as suspects.
