Detroit Police are investigating an accidental non-fatal shooting that happened early Tuesday morning on Trinity.
Officers were called to the area on a report of a person shot around 2:00 a.m.
The 38-year-old man who was shot told police the electricity in his home was out. He entered his home in the dark.
The woman thought the man was an intruder, retrieved a gun from under her pillow, and fired one shot, hitting the man in the upper right arm.
The man was taken to Sinai-Grace Hospital. The woman was also at the hospital, according to police.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
