VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Van Buren Township Police are investigating a shooting that happened outside a Walmart Tuesday evening.
Officers say two men in their 20's met in the parking lot of the Walmart located on Belleville Road for an "illegal transaction."
There was an apparent dispute inside the suspect's vehicle, and the suspect shot the other man in the chest, police say.
The wounded man ran into the Walmart lobby and asked for help. He was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in stable condition. Officials say the man is expected to survive.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
