BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has released more information on what they are calling a suspicious death.
On Monday, Feb. 17 around 3:14 a.m., deputies responded to a single family home on the 8800 block of Lewis Avenue regarding a medical situation involving a possible death.
At the scene, deputies discovered a body in the living room area.
The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Cecilia Gibson of Temperance, Michigan.
Investigators say two of the victim's family members – a 60-year-old and 45-year-old – were at the home and brought in for questioning. The 45-year-old Temperance man has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, "homicide related charges are being sought, pending review of the investigation by the Monroe County Prosecutor's Office."
