CANTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a crash that occurred in Canton Monday night.

At approximately 9:48 p.m., Canton police responded to the area of Ford Road and Lotz for a collision involving three vehicles. A 56-year-old California resident was driving a 2019 Ford westbound on Ford Road when he collided with a 2015 Buick, driven by a 53-year-old Westland resident, and a 2015 Chrysler, driven by a 29-year-old Westland resident.

The 56-year-old driver of the Ford sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia.

Police had shut down Ford Road at Lotz, but it has since reopened. Police say alcohol does appear to have been a factor in the crash.
