Detroit police have released a photo of a man they are calling a person of interest in a fatal shooting that happened early Friday morning.
Police say a man's body was discovered in the street on Edgevale and John R, just north of McNichols.
The scene is just yards from the wings of Love Missionary Baptist Church where a Crime Stoppers sign hangs outside.
A Crime Stoppers volunteer who lives in a house next to the church says it is heartbreaking to see a murder scene so close.
"We here to help. So if it will help you to get a reward come get it. We just need information to get closure for somebody’s family. Somebody has to bury this person under this sheet. Lets give them closure. 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You will remain anonymous. I promise you that. You will remain anonymous," said neighbor O.J. Jackson.
