2 shot in Inkster, police searching for suspect

Inkster police say two people were shot early this morning at the Cherry Hill Club Apartments. The building is in the area of Henry Ruff and Cherry Hill Trail.

Investigators tell 7 Action News six people were hanging out in an apartment when a man came to the door. We're told the suspect then shot two men. Initially, it was believed to be an attempted robbery, but now officers are exploring other motives. 

We're told one of the victims was shot in the arm, the other was shot in the stomach. No word yet on their condition. 

Officers say they are currently looking for the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male around 20 years old, 5'6" and 150 pounds with a light mustache. He is believed to be wearing a red sweatshirt or jacket with a Pepe logo on the left of his chest. 

Michigan State Police is now taking over the scene.
