(WXYZ) — Police are investigating a freeway shooting that occurred on northbound M-39 and McNichols Road on Saturday.
The victim told police that the suspect was in the right lane and she was in the center lane. The suspect then reportedly pulled in front of the victim's vehicle and slammed on their brakes.
The victim said she was able to avoid a collision and the suspect got back into the right lane. The suspect then pulled next to the victim and fired two rounds at her vehicle. The suspect continued to flee northbound from the scene and exited at Seven Mile Road.
The victim stopped at M-10 and Evergreen to make a report.
Police say the suspect vehicle is described as a white Suburban/Yukon with tinted windows.
Detectives are reviewing freeway camera recordings for the incident. The vehicle was processed and one round was recovered from the vehicle.
